About Online Contributions and Special Olympics Internet Site Privacy Policy
For a while now we have considered accepting online contributions via credit cards, but we wanted to insure several things before we jumped into it. We wanted to make sure that you were comfortable with the transaction - comfortable in that the monies were in fact going to your state organization and not some other division of Special Olympics and/or a fraudulent operation, and comfortable in that the transaction itself would be secure and protected from credit card fraud.

Special Olympics Inc. has solved these concerns for us. All online donations for all Special Olympics organizations are now routed through Special Olympics Inc.'s SECURE, ENCRYPTED credit card transaction service. They then deliver the funds to the respective, designated state organization. When you make an online contribution there is a small fee that goes to cover the cost of the credit card transaction, but every other penny you donate will come to Special Olympics Virginia for use here in the state.

Any amount you might want to donate would be greatly appreciated
