Being the first person with an intellectual disability to have served on Capitol Hill and also being a Global Messenger is impressive for the brightest of sparks, let alone someone with Down syndrome… but these are just a few of David Egan’s many achievements. The proud Northern VA man is educated, active, independent and has been employed for 20 years… he has never let his disability define him.
"Having Down syndrome is not an obstacle to success," David said. "There may be challenges but there also are unique gifts and opportunities."
