Bowling is considered to be among the most popular sports in the Special Olympics. It is a particularly beneficial sport to people with intellectual disabilities, irrespective of their age or sports abilities, since it ensures physical exercise and at the same time participation and social integration.
Area 28 is hosting bowling practice for all interested athletes. Practices will be every other Saturday morning (Jan. 11, 25; Feb. 8, 22; March 7, 21; April 4, 18; May 2, 16). Bowling shoes and balls will be available to use. Bowling ramps are available upon request. All athletes must have a current Special Olympics Physical on file to participate. Please let Faye know if you have any questions.
Area 28 is in need of bowling coaches. If you are interested in being a coach, please fill out the volunteer interest form at the bottom of THIS page.
