Cops on the Coop Partnership with Chick-Fil-A

Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Virginia presents “Cops on the Coop” in partnership with Chick-Fil-A®

Richmond, VA - Over a four-day period, September 23rd – 26th, local Law Enforcement agencies are teaming up with six Richmond-area Chick-Fil-A restaurants to raise funds for almost 26,000 Special Olympics Virginia athletes in an inaugural event called “Cops on the Coop.”

Be sure to “look up” next week as Law Enforcement officers will stand on the restaurants’ rooftops to garner attention from passersby, while officers stationed at drive-thru’s and entrances will encourage donations from Chick-Fil-A guests.

Some Chick-Fil-A Cops on the Coops events will include t-shirt giveaways, Chick-Fil-A coupon giveaways, photos with Cop Cow and more! Special Olympics Virginia athletes will also be on hand at certain locations to advocate and raise funds for themselves and fellow Special Olympics athletes.

Fundraisers like Cops on the Coop give Special Olympics Virginia a chance to reach even more children and adults with intellectual disabilities, enhancing their year-round community and school programs, and encouraging more people to join them in the Inclusion Revolution.

"As we celebrate the first year of the next half century of Special Olympics, we are proud that Chick-Fil-A and the Law Enforcement Torch Run are by our side,” said Rick Jeffrey, president of Special Olympics Virginia. “This new partnership will help Special Olympics Virginia and our now almost 26,000 athletes lead the charge for full inclusion – on and off the playing field. Thanks, too, to the community for ‘eating more chicken’ in Richmond next week!”
