The Rite Aid Foundation has generously gifted Special Olympics Virginia with a $5,000 grant as part of its Full of Thanks holiday program.

“We are so grateful to the Rite Aid Foundation for continuing to partner with us in our mission to inspire an Inclusion Revolution in every school and community in Virginia. Their yearly support helps us with the costs to provide programs free of charge to our athletes and their families. We couldn’t do what we do without partners like Rite Aid and the Kid Cents grants,” Rick Jeffrey, President of Special Olympics Virginia.

The Rite Aid Foundation created this special holiday program to help more than 400 KidCents partner charities across the country to advance their efforts to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of children in their communities. In total, The Rite Aid Foundation is donating nearly $2.1 million this year through its Full of Thanks holiday program.

“Our KidCents partner charities embody Rite Aid’s commitment to be a caring neighbor in the communities we serve. There is no better time than Giving Tuesday to show our appreciation to these organizations for all they do throughout the year,” said Jessica Kazmaier, president of The Rite Aid Foundation Board of Directors and chief human resources officer for Rite Aid. “This is our way to show we are full of thanks for our partners and the important work they do to provide kids with better lives, brighter futures and increased opportunities.”

We are Full of Thanks to The Rite Aid Foundation for recognizing and supporting all we do throughout the year to provide year-round sports training, health programs, and leadership opportunities to more than 25,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Virginia Commonwealth. Thanks to partners like The Rite Aid Foundation, we look forward to continuing our work to make a difference in the lives of children in our communities this holiday season and in the new year.
