This past weekend, the 2025 Mosaic Polar Plunge was cooler than the 30-degree weather! With over 250 brave participants taking the plunge, this year’s event set a new record, raising an incredible $100,000 to support Special Olympics Virginia athletes.
The Mosaic District once again provided the perfect backdrop for this icy tradition. From the moment participants arrived, the energy was contagious, thanks to the lively atmosphere created by Tommy McFly and Michelle Philip, along with the tremendous support from the Fairfax County Police Department.
Looking ahead, the Polar Plunge season continues with the Virginia Beach Plunge, set to take place on February 7-8. Participants can look forward to another chance to make a splash for a great cause.
Special Olympics Virginia extends its heartfelt gratitude to all plungers, donors, and supporters who made this record-breaking event possible. Your dedication not only sets new records but also redefines what’s possible for athletes statewide.
Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved and continue the momentum as we gear up for the next plunge at Virginia Beach.
