New Partnership with Portco Highlights Inclusion and Opportunity at Summer Games

A new partnership with Portco brings professional portraits—and pathways to employment—to this year’s Summer Games.

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Portco, a nonprofit organization that creates sustainable employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and wounded veterans. Portco will join us at the 2025 Summer Games as part of their commitment to helping people with disabilities thrive in the workforce.

On Saturday night from 7–9 PM, Portco will host a portrait station, giving athletes and attendees the chance to have professional photos taken — not just for fun, but with purpose. These portraits will help participants build confidence and support their efforts to seek meaningful work.

This collaboration reflects what both Special Olympics Virginia and Portco believe: that everyone deserves the chance to be seen, to contribute, and to succeed. We’re grateful to be forming a partnership with a mission-driven organization that shares our vision of inclusion, opportunity, and dignity for all.

It’s all part of helping people take the next step toward meaningful work.
