Special Olympics Virginia Fitness Collaborative: Elevate Adaptive Fitness Together

Join us January 25-26 in Richmond for a free event enhancing adaptive fitness through dynamic sessions and community connection.

On January 25-26, Special Olympics Virginia will host a Fitness Collaborative in Richmond, Virginia. This event is open to athletes, coaches, parents, fitness enthusiasts and fitness centers around the state that want to share, connect, learn and grow in adaptive fitness. The theme of the Collaborative is A Great Athlete is a Healthy Athlete, which serves to enrich participants in the fitness philosophies and practices that deepen sport performance, quality of life and wellness. There will be presentations, activity and discussions to keep participants energized and inspired!

The event will run from Saturday, January 25 at 11am through Sunday, January 26 at 11am. Throughout this time, participants will engage in more than 10 dynamic sessions that include: Functional Movement, Sensory Integration in Adaptive Fitness, Healthy Living Mindset, Benefits of Endurance Running, Adaptive Yoga, Fitness in Sport and more! Don’t miss this co-learning event – participants will no-doubt contribute deeper fitness impact in their communities because of it.

SOVA is committed to serving the adaptive fitness community and removing barriers to attendance that participation in this event is free. SOVA will cover meals and Saturday night housing for attendees traveling more than 50 miles.
