Unified Track Meet

Unified Track teams from across the region will come together to compete in Unified Track Events hosted by Lord Botetourt High School. This meet will take place after school, during the Varsity track meet.

It’s more than just a track meet—it's a celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and Unified Champion Schools.

Unified Track teams from across the region will come together for an inspiring day of competition, community, and celebration of Special Olympics Unified Sports, hosted by Lord Botetourt High School.

This meet arks the culmination of an incredible season, showcasing the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of athletes of all abilities. It’s more than just a track meet—it's a celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and Unified Champion Schools.

Unified Track and Cornhole Competition-Washington County and Bristol

Unified Meets and Tournaments are a unique opportunity for students to join forces, practicing together for 6–8 weeks in preparation for the big day. It’s all about building community, fostering friendships, and competing in an environment where everyone can shine!
  • Unified Teams: Students from across the school will come together to compete in Track events and Cornhole
  • Inclusion at its Best: This event is designed to create meaningful opportunities for students with and without intellectual disabilities.
  • School Spirit: Cheer on the players as they showcase the power of teamwork, dedication, and community spirit!
The event will take place during the school day, so all students can be a part of the action.

Little Feet Meet-Roanoke College

“Feet Meets” are a way for schools to engage students with and without intellectual disabilities. Students practice the sports stations at their schools for six - eight weeks in preparation for the culminating Feet Meet.

Feet Meets are school events that occur during the school day. Schools participating are from Craig, Botetourt, Franklin and Roanoke Counties, as well as, Roanoke and Salem Cities

A fun filled day for Elementary Age, K-5th Grade students. High School and College Students along with community volunteers will host the event stations. Volunteer check in begins at 8:15. Volunteers sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/LittleFeetVolSignup

The swimming program pairs individuals with intellectual disabilities with a partner for individualized instruction. Swimsuit is required!

Unified Walking Club

Uptown Christiansburg, 782 New River Road, Christiansburg, VA(Meet inside Mall Main entrance near Kirklands)
Unified Walking Club joins people with and without intellectual disabilities for a fun and fitness.

All members of the Special Olympics community (coaches, partners, family members, volunteer groups and caregivers) are welcome to join! This activity is lead by Coaches Matt and Jill Wheeler and will meet each Monday evening 6:30-7:30 pm.

Danville City Feet Meet

Moose Softball Tournament

Peaks View Park, 170 Ivy Creek Ln, Lynchburg, VA 24502
Traditional and Unified teams are invited to compete in this annual tournament held in Lynchburg. Registration information will be sent out in March. Contact Sara Harder if you are interested in registering a team that did not participate last year. Registration details will be sent to all Area Coordinators and 2025 team coaches.
