How many years have you been with Special Olympics? I have been involved in Special Olympics for over 26 years as a local coordinator and coach.
What makes you most proud? I am most proud when athletes support each other.
What is the biggest problem/obstacle that you`ve had to overcome? I think the biggest obstacle is getting others to understand that Special Olympics is not just a " local thing" or it's not just for children. That there is a wide array of ages and ability levels.
Who do you admire the most? I admire one of my former students. He uses a wheelchair and a communication device in his everyday life. He always finds time to talk with me and he tries to be successful in everything he does. He has a wide array of interests and we can always joke and laugh no matter the situation.
