Joshua, from Blacksburg, VA, has been involved with Special Olympics Virginia for over 20 years. He has participated in track, downhill skiing, snowboarding, basketball, softball, bowling, and swimming, and has also served as a Global Messenger.
Special Olympics has profoundly impacted Joshua's life. If it weren’t for Special Olympics, he might never have started running. At just 10 or 11 years old, he began running through Special Olympics track, which sparked a passion that carried him through middle school and high school. His continued involvement with Special Olympics has been a key factor in maintaining his health and fitness.
What makes me the most proud is finishing 11 marathons. But I still have a lot of life goals to achieve and then I'll have my "most proud" moments.
