Topgolf is committed to making the game of golf more diverse, inclusive and fun. The partnership between Topgolf and Special Olympics demonstrates how inclusive sport training and competition can serve as a catalyst for inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. What starts in a Topgolf bay can extend into our classrooms, workplaces, and communities.

Topgolf and Special Olympics have formed a global partnership that is committed to making the game of golf more diverse, inclusive and fun. The partnership between Topgolf and Special Olympics demonstrates how inclusive sport training and competition can serve as a catalyst for inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. What starts in a Topgolf bay can extend into our classrooms, workplaces, and communities. This year, for the first time, Special Olympics and Topgolf are proud to announce the 2026 Topgolf ProAm.

Event Details

Join us at Topgolf One Loudoun.
  • When: September 24, 2025, 5:00–8:00 PM
  • Where: Topgolf One Loudoun, 20356 Commonwealth Center Dr, Ashburn, VA 20147
  • Team size: 5 people per team (each team will be paired with an athlete)
  • Team entry fee: $1,500

Accomack Feet Meet

“Feet Meets” are a way for schools to engage students with and without intellectual disabilities. Students practice the sports stations at their schools for six to eight weeks in preparation for the culminating Feet Meet.


Feet Meets are school events that occur during the school day.

Mark J. Emery Memorial Area 26 Golf Tournament

Westfields Golf Club 13940 Balmoral Greens Ave Clifton, VA 20124
In honor of the legacy of Mark J. Emery who embodied the mission of Special Olympics. He is a founder, an inventor, a motivator, and a friend. Through his leadership as coordinator, coach, and unified partner of Area 26 sports he instilled respect, inclusion, and unity among his athletes and volunteers. Mark is credited for his longtime dedication to this annual golf tournament fundraiser that benefits all sports programs in Area 26.

Play 18 holes at the fabulous Westfields Golf Course, Chantilly, Virginia and interact with our Special Olympic Athletes. Enjoy lunch, an awards dinner banquet, unlimited beverages during play, and silent auction, too!

Menchville Feet Meet

Shenandoah Super Games

Bridgewater College 402 East College St. Bridgewater, Virginia 22812
Regional competition offering bocce singles, golf level 2/4, pickleball doubles, soccer 5-a-side team, soccer skills, volleyball team and volleyball skills competitions. Bridgewater College graciously hosts the event on their campus with BC sports teams officiating and cheering on Special Olympic athletes creating a memorable experience for all. New this year SO cheerleading squads are invited to perform, registration for all athletes will be in early October.

2027 Woodberry Forest Basketball Tournament

The Woodberry Forest Basketball Tournament is a regional qualifying basketball tournament held for Special Olympics Virginia athletes. The event begins with an Opening Ceremony kick off followed by tournament play involving full court traditional, full court Unified, half court, and individual skills competition.

Shenandoah Slam Basketball Tournament

Albemarle High School 2775 Hydraulic Road, Charlottesville VA 22901
Regional basketball tournament offering traditional and unified full court, traditional half court and skills level 1,2 and team. Hosted by Albemarle High School and registration will be held in early January.

Virginia Military Institute Games

Virginia Military Institute 319 Letcher Avenue, Lexington, Va. 24450
Regional competition for basketball celebrating the end of a great season. VMI cadets host Special Olympic teams to compete in full court, half court and skills competition on their historic grounds in Lexington Virginia. A powerful opening ceremony, dance party with the VMI mascot Moe and a dinner in Crozet Hall all create a wonderful day honoring sports achievement and inclusion.
